NATO Bonfire is the procurement portal of NATO Headquarters in Brussels at nato.bonfirehub.com: the Procurement Service of the NATO International Staff publishes its business opportunities there, and suppliers register on the portal to take part. We set up the account, check eligibility for a specific opportunity, prepare documents to meet the portal requirements and guide you through the submission.

Since 2012 · 1000+ DUNS and 100+ NCAGE registrations for clients · our own NCAGE KD8H7 · NATO HQ call for bids online is free to use

In brief

  • NATO Bonfire (nato.bonfirehub.com) is the procurement portal of NATO Headquarters. NSPA and NCIA run their own platforms with separate registration.
  • To take part, a firm completes the site registration process on the portal. NATO HQ states that use of its call for bids online is free.
  • NATO HQ business opportunities are normally restricted to firms registered in a NATO member nation. The documents of each opportunity set its own eligibility conditions and possible exceptions.
  • Notices are published in English or French, and bids must be in one of these two official NATO languages.

What NATO Bonfire is

NATO Headquarters buys goods and services through the Procurement Service of the NATO International Staff in Brussels, Belgium. Its procurement portal runs on the Bonfire platform at nato.bonfirehub.com, where the open requests for proposal, invitations for bid and requests for quotation of NATO HQ are listed.

Other NATO bodies use other systems. NSPA publishes its opportunities in NSPA eProcurement after Source File registration, and NCIA works through Neo eProcurement. The NATO procurement "front door" collects open opportunities from NATO HQ, ACT, ACO, NSPA and NCIA in one list and sends you to the right portal for each.

Who can bid with NATO HQ

NATO business opportunities are normally restricted to firms or organisations registered in one of the NATO member nations. Exceptions are possible: the specific conditions of eligibility are set in the documentation of each business opportunity. NATO HQ states that companies wishing to be considered as its suppliers must be established in NATO member countries.

For a company outside NATO we read the eligibility clause of the specific opportunity before you spend time on a bid.

How registration on NATO Bonfire works

  1. Site registration. The firm completes the registration process on nato.bonfirehub.com and creates a user account.
  2. Email whitelisting. NATO HQ asks suppliers to make sure that gobonfire.com is white-listed on their email server, so portal messages reach the inbox.
  3. Monitoring. It is the vendor's exclusive responsibility to visit the portal periodically and follow new opportunities and changes to open ones.
  4. Bid. The bid is prepared in English or French under the rules in the opportunity documents and submitted through the portal.

What we do

  1. Questionnaire and free check. We check for free whether your company has an NCAGE code and whether the target opportunity allows firms from your country.
  2. Account setup. We register the company on NATO Bonfire, set up users and make sure portal emails are delivered.
  3. Company data. We prepare company details, NCAGE and D-U-N-S numbers in the form buyers ask for. See NCAGE code registration and DUNS number.
  4. Documents and submission. We prepare documents to meet the portal requirements and guide you through every stage of the submission on the portal.
  5. Profile updates. We keep the company profile on the portal up to date when company data change.

Common mistakes

  • Portal emails from gobonfire.com land in spam, and an amendment or a clarification is missed.
  • The company registers on Bonfire and expects to see NSPA or NCIA tenders there.
  • The bid or part of it is prepared in a language other than English or French.
  • The eligibility clause of the opportunity is read after the bid is already prepared.

Our advantages

International business, end to end

Corporate structuring, company registration in Ukraine and abroad, tax and reporting, migration, bank accounts, DUNS and NCAGE codes. We run the whole project, from choosing the solution to the finished documents.

Confidentiality under contract

Confidentiality terms are set out in our contract. We do not pass information about a client or their project to third parties, except where the law expressly requires it.

Choosing a jurisdiction

We compare jurisdictions against your business task: tax regime, reporting, substance requirements and access to banking. On the call we go through the upsides and the limits of each option.

Timelines and data

We name the timeline for every step before the work starts — it depends on the jurisdiction, the registrar and the bank. Personal data is used only to deliver the service.

We deal with authorities and banks

We handle the correspondence with registrars, government bodies and banks and answer their requests ourselves. From you we need documents and signatures.

We see every case through

We take each case to the finish: if an authority or registrar comes back with remarks, we revise the documents at no extra charge. The fee is calculated for your task before work starts.
