Residence permit in Hungary

What documents do I need to submit for a residence permit?

Hungarian non-residents planning to obtain a temporary residence permit submit the following documents to the competent state authority:

• application written in Hungarian or English;
• passport that must be valid for at least 3 months after returning from Hungary and contains 2 blank pages;
• 2 color passport size photographs;
• health insurance;
• supporting documents for residence;
• confirmation of financial resources (bank statements for the last 3 months);
• work permit, employment contract (if necessary).

The consul may request additional documents.

Getting a residence permit through investment

To become a resident of Hungary, you can open a company in this jurisdiction. In this case, you will need to provide the following package of documents:
